As a curious observer (Owner at the Majestic) I can't imagine that you community members are paying for anything on YOUR beach.... as a tax payer, that bothers me.
There's an all new beach restoration thing going on. Are they or will they skip your "private" beach.
I doubt it.
I'd love to hear any feedback on this.

In order for one to understand the issues of beach restoration , one would need to understand the dynamics of a beach, the migration of sand alond a beach. Look up sand deposition via littoral drift and then you may understand.

It is apparent that no one will address the issue of private tax dollars funding a "PRIVATE" beach.
You can suggest "looking up" whatever you wish. That does not answer my question.
You B.A.W. folks are getting "free restoration" for "YOUR PRIVATE" beach. As a tax payer, I resent this.

It is a concern for those of us who are in touch with reality. I have recently heard the TDC is going to stop the trash pick up and also the restoration is not going to be done on this stretch of beach. As a taxpayer also, I can't believe the advocates of the "private beach" did not see this coming. There has been a lot of money spent on this endeavor, it is a shame. Hopefully, someone will learn from this. As far as looking up definitions, since when was anything political defined in the dictionary. This statement seems to be someone trying to justify THEIR opinion with a condescending remark they think shows their intelligence, unfortunately it shows just the opposite.

That's great news, Beachlady. Let them pay for their own "PRIVATE" beach improvements and trash disposal. BAW cannot have it both ways..... It is either THEIR PRIVATELY FUNDED BEACH or a PUBLIC BEACH using PUBLIC TAX DOLLARS to maintain. Thanks for the update, kiddo!

BAWBP gained more members when the gate code was withheld to the property owners in bid a wee unless they paid the 50.00 dues, although the number of members seem to fluctuate with every attempt to justify actions. It will be interesing to see how many owners pay this next June when there is no extortion involved and that is exactly what it was. I am against premitting a handicap ramp at this time, mainly because I think it is a poorly disguised attempt to get the golf cart parking on the beach approved. The proposed golf cart parking also proposes an additional fee be charged in order to access it. This will become a Pay-to-park situation which in my mind, makes it unacceptable on that level along with the environmental issue of destroying the dunes and possible eroding our beach. Any interested party should contact the permitting department and express their concerns. Email amongst ourselves will not accomplish anything, opinions on file at the respective permitting offices will go much further.
